As a kid that grew up really into music & art, my independent West Coast career has allowed me to dive into all of the connected art that goes into album making! Why would I not love the process of albums? It's beyond satisfying artistically to really dive in fully, and come out with something you feel on a really deep level, so the songs are something I connect with long term.
From the guitars, to drums & bass, writing the vocals, lyrics, melodies & harmonies, blending compositional style with raw freestyle digging in expression wise, each little piece of the album's puzzle, all little art projects, including cover art on my albums & singles that I work on the way I used to as a kid in art classes, so it's a cool match for the vibe of the songs & themes in a cool way that breathes even more life into it as a multi platform art project, with the music, lyrics, art, to the album's production style.
I think this album is my best as a producer with the style being based on the lyrical themes and the overall story. It needed to be a big atmospheric gritty style, that was a lot of fun! This album is one connected story & a roller coster ride of an album!
Being independent allows the art gets full freedom to be what it is creatively, and it never has to be what they think it should be!
