New Instrumental Album... "Love Can Be A Lot Like Falling Down" available everywhere! Just because the labels don't get it, doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to get it! A lot went into this album! It was my first in forever that I got to be the guitar player & not have to cover vocals! I've had to cover vocals on 4 straight albums, since haven't found a singer yet, when I'm a guitar player that does the main backup vocal harmonies in bands, I'm not a lead singer, very much a guitar player, so that energy from the freedom creatively, to write a really cool instrumental album, really took off!

I got to deep dive into playing my guitar during these sessions, and I had these moments in the zone that were inspired!! That rush of getting fully back to guitar for me, as a guitar player, a musician & a writer, was an amazing experience artistically!! When it comes to guitars, I can stand on my own as good at what I do, as anyone around at what they do in rock guitar right now. Instrumentals are not a side thing for me, they have very much been a specialty of mine since i was a teenage guitar player.

This album is a lot of fun to listen to, and I am Very Happy with it from the opener "Thrill Ride" to the closer It's a cool ride, that was beyond fun to record! Independent bands & artists can bring you real deal label quality albums, that the labels won't! All about the music!! West Coast Rock that Rocks!!

This album is all about serious band chemistry, overall album sound, and the connected story that this album is, with each song being like a chapter if it was a book. Candy Apple Sunset

Tim Erickson

"Candy Apple Sunset" is an side project album of my old school early 80's rock & hard rock roots as a Southern California guitarist, and most of it was actually written back when I was still in my teens, during my Hollywood origin story days! Haha

Recorded in Seattle at Robert Lang Studios in Jan '98 the album was recorded and mixed in just 4 days, with me producing an album in a big studio for the first time. I knew we didn't have much time so we went for it and captured the cool raw live energy of the band's live shows!

Even though the band fell apart as things were taking off, it's remained a fan favorite, and a very cool underground independent release, that we wanted to do, rather than giving a label an over polish album, to make them happy. It still sounds fresh, with the blend of a lot of style and big grooves!

The bonus track include a couple live tracks and a couple of home demos of some of the last songs we were working on as a band. The song "Take On The World" also marks my wife Bree Erickson's first appearance on backing vocals, in '99 at my then studio in Northern California, right after I got back from a decade in the Seattle scene!
