Do what you do, whatever it is, that is uniquely you! This clip is from an open jam night in the beautiful Monterey/Carmel CA, just down from Pebble Beach. I was naming with Craig and his drummer, who after this weekend, got to join Phil's side band that he had at the time, while Def Leppard was on a break.
This was an off the cuff jam, and we had fun! My wife Bree was sitting next to the guys that were supposed to go on after us, and one of the guys said "Wow, I'm not going on right after that!!"🤣
It's supposed to be fun, not a competition, so I hung out and talked to the guys that were waiting to go on, and showed them the riff I was playing, which is something I've had for a long time just for jams, since it's like mixing a blues rock jam progression, with early Metallica energy, and a little punk rock edge, cause why not! I love to mix all kinds of crazy stuff, with how I play & write, which is partly why I never run out of ideas to get excited about and turn into another album!
